Clayhanger Pools

Walking down to get the Sunday paper I was surprised to see small patches of clear sky towards the eastern horizon. It was tempting enough to get into the car on returning and head out in the hope of a good sunrise.

In the end the sun never appeared and but for some diffuse salmon pink underlighting of the low level clouds the colours were very muted. Not to say there wasn't interest in the sky with this mottled confusion of cloud around for all of the time I was out.

I thought this scene begged to be presented in black and white. I even added my own ripples, not using the various plugins available, on this occasion it required me to get my left foot wet!

Off to the shops, Argh!!
