First Sunday of Advent

When Grandma and Grandad arrived this morning we got the board games out. Snakes and Ladders (Grandad won) and dominoes (Orla won). After they had gone home we had some lunch then headed out for a walk. We cut through the golf course on to the Bogie Line and walked towards Dullatur. Ed had thought the path eventually became impassable but the last time he was down that way was before the path had been upgraded. Now it's a great path that you can follow all the way on to Croy Hill, to Castlecary or to Dullatur.

We headed in to Dullatur (ogling the expensive houses!) and phoned Papa to ask if he would come to pick me, Orla and Conor up as Orla's feet AND legs were sore. I made my first lot of Christmas cookie dough this morning, so once we got home Orla and I made a big batch of cookies and (big excitement!) we put our Christmas tree up. I think this may be the earliest ever. There are no decorations around the bottom of the tree. It still feels futile, somehow.
