The Beach at Llafranc
The sun was shining when I woke up this morning. I was ecstatic as I had begun to think that we had seen the last of the sun on this holiday. I got myself down to the pool early to make the most of it. Then it clouded over again.
Thankfully the cloud had dissipated once again by 11 by which time the others were up. We had more antics in the pool. It's great to have a pool to ourselves so we can mess about, jump onto the lilos and generally have lots of fun without disturbing anyone else.
For lunch, we set up a table close to the pool, on the one of the lower terraces. We ate a few leftovers, which went well with a bottle of chilled rose wine.
In the afternoon we headed to Llafranc to see the beach. On the way we stopped by a lighthouse with magnificent views of Llafranc and Calella. The beach at Llafranc was the widest we had been on and the waves coming in were the highest, which made it fun swimming. It was also possible to allow the waves to almost pick you up and dump you on the beach, like flotsam and jetsam.
Ol returned in the evening and Matthew made a traditional Spanish stew involving chicken and chorizo. Ol was disappointed to miss out on the triv last night so we played it again. It was a close run thing.
Here's a link to some more photos of today.
