Vlissingen in winterly conditions

Flushing (Vlissingen) is one of my favorite cities. I studied in Vlissingen at the nautical college "de Ruyter", and during that period (1975-1978) we had some harsh winters with snow and ice.

I don't know when this photo was taken, but it reflects well my memories and our longing to be on a ship outward bound, like the ship on the photo, withstanding all elements.
As this week the weather is turning cold again in the Netherlands, with chance of snow and ice, I place this photo in advance of what has to come.
