Venice

Spent the day wandering around Venice, trying desperately to get that iconic shot of a gondolier, but every time we saw one, the view would get blocked by a motor boat or otherwise I just wasn't quick enough with the camera. Went inside Doges palace and up the tower in St Mark's square but found the square a bit touristy and too busy. Much preferred just wandering around the tiny quiet back streets. We stumbled upon a modern art exhibition (Bienale) and saw some wierd and wonderful stuff. Must have walked miles today. Venice is beautiful and lived up to all my expectations.
