Feeling blue!

Love the colour of the Christmas lights in Walden this year.

Matches my mood tonight although I'm probably seeing more red than blue. Good job I went into work at 7.30 today as from 10:00 it was a wasted day! Well in my opinion anyway.

10:00 team meeting, that went on until 11:30
Quick coffee with Geoff for ten minutes
11:50 went to offsite restaurant for our Christmas lunch. Didn't start well, I had signed a contract for a certain room for the dinner only to find out we weren't in it! The room we were in was like an after thought, table not dusted, not laid properly, no condiments on the table, when we asked for them they didn't arrive, I took them off tables in the main restaurant, asked to see the person I had booked the table through, waited like an idiot for ten minutes, she didin't appear, told them to let her know to forget it as I was going to have my lunch, 'manager' offered us a round of drinks after we had already ordered. Brought in too many starters, main course was a turkey roast for most of us, well the potatoes (3 pieces) were coloured but hard, the sausage was about 3cm long, if that, the stuffing was the size of a 10p bit, carrots and over cooked cabbage finished off the plate. Can't even remember if there was gravy certainly no additional, had to ask for cranberry sauce. Needed my glasses on for the Christmas pudding. We chose to have our tea and coffee on the house, cold cappucinos, pale tea, the wrong drinks bill and then they still expected us to pay for the drinks we did have!
Considering we send quite a bit of business to them, bedrooms etc, they didn't do themselves any favours! Needless to say I will be writing to them tomorrow.
Now I will breathe and start finishing my knitting off.......
