Oh dear, I've been rumbled.

We had some friends come for a bbq 2 nights ago. I said that they really didn't need to bring any food with them, as there was plenty, but they brought 6 big slices of lovely chocolate cake anyway.

I put it in the fridge (for safe keeping) but then forgot to offer it as desert.

I've been feeling guilty ever since, but I think I'm going to cope.
