Chip Off The Old Block

You might remember the pic of King George, the large Eastern Water Dragon that frequented a cafe in Maleny - and you might remember that he sadly died when a car reversed over him a couple of months back. He was a well-known character and it was a sad occasion.

It's cheering, though, to know that his mate and children still live in the gardens around this cafe. A local wood carver made this noble monument to King George which stands next to the cafe; this morning I spotted one of George's youngsters paying homage to its dad.
