Not just a pretty flower but also a pretty flour

Lupins are everywhere in San Martin at this time of the year and indeed throughout South America; apparently the lupin ‘beans’ were once a food staple of the Inca Empire. I always remember them in my parent’s garden in Selly Park, Birmingham, when I was a child. Full cycle indeed.
