Sentry Duty

Well another day over with not much happening at work although I did have to get a member of East Coast platform staff at Newcastle to get a long pair of grabbers as when I got out the cab of my train I caught my name badge on the door which cased my badge to fly off my jacket and go onto the track so after a couple of minutes the badge was back on my uniform then it was over to the messroom for my dinner which consisted of a tub of Hungry Joe's sausage and bean pasta with chopped tomatoes very nice too and spicy I had intended on my Lentil soup and crusty bread for dinner but had that for lunch instead so on my way home I stopped on Johnston Terrace where the stairs lead up to Edinburgh Castle Esplanade to grab this shot of Scotlands two most famous historical figures in William Wallace by Alexander Carrick and Robert The Bruce by Thomas Clapperton added to the front of the Gatehouse in 1929 with the latin inscription above the statues reading " Nemo me impune lacessit" which when traslated is " No one attacks me with impunity" it is The Order Of The Thistle and the motto of Scotland in the British Army and can be translated in Scots as "Wha daur meddle wi me" just a pity the two lanterns were not burning as it would have made the shot a bit more atmospheric anyway after that it was off home for some sleep with two trips to Glasgow tomorrow working the 17:11 and 21:14 services off of Edinburgh now then movie for the day has to be "Freedom Fighters 2013" Looks nice LARGE too See Ya
