D is for

Door. At this time of year many advent calendars have doors to open each day. It makes me think of the fact that when Jesus was born "there was no room for them in the inn." Luke 2:7. In effect the door was shut on Him.
It makes me think of one of the most well known verses in the Bible: Revelation 3:20. "Here I am. I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door I will come in and eat with him and he with me."
It's a DECLARATION: Here I am.
A DESCRIPTION: I stand at the door and knock.
An INVITATION: If anyone hear my voice and opens the door
A PROMISE: I will come in and eat with him and he with me.
