Reeds - Newport Wetlands

A rare day off!

We went down to Newport Wetlands this morning, largely to do some Christmas Shopping in the visitor centre.

After two days of sunshine it was very gloomy, so hopeless for bird photography. I didn't even bother taking the 500mm lens. In the end I went for something a bit arty farty in the absence of feathered subjects!

I rather like this .. could be a little bit better .. but nice textures.
