Sleepy girl and full of cold....

Eva slept through til 3.15am this morning, had a top up feed, then went back down. I woke around 8.15 thinking she'd be awake any minute, but she just slept and slept. I spent some time on Facebook, got showered and dressed, and still she slept. It got to nearly 9.30 and she hadn't even stirred so I thought I'd best go and wake her up. She was snoring away as I walked in (with being so bunged up, we'd tied a muslin with a few drops of Olbas oil on it to the top end of her cot) and she was lay across her cot on her tummy, and looked soooo comfortable and snuggly (today's pic). She didn't stir when I walked in, or lifted the blind, or tickled her neck and face, or whispered her name, or stroked her back. In the end I lifted her out and she was still asleep resting against me, but slowly came round and was all smiles when she saw I'd got her. Poor babba is full of cold, even her little chatterings were all croaky today.

My dad came round this afternoon to see us and Eva was sat on the floor playing with the items in her treasure basket and playing Peepo with the basket itself. I've spent most of the day wiping the green snot candles hanging from her nostrils, I've been using a damp bibby as thought it would be gentler on her little nose.

Nanny Nash is over from Spain and surprised us with a visit this evening. She ended up having tea, sharing a bottle of wine with Mike and staying the night. It is so lovely to see her and we had a lovely evening catching up. Eva had cuddles with her Nanny before I took her up for her bath, feed and settle her down to bed. She gets to the stage most nights where she's that tired, it's like she's half crying as she's so desperate to get into bed. I lay her down and she immediately pulls snuggle bear that Aunty Sue and Bebe bought her, over her face or towards her face, opens her mouth for num nums and lies there while I tuck her in.

It's 10.20pm as I type this and snotty little babba girl is still fast asleep. Xxxx
