London at night

I didn't want to go up to London this evening any more than I wanted to go to the gym this morning. But sometimes you just have to do things you don't feel like doing. I wanted to support my old friend Orri Vigfusson at a reception in St James's to raise awareness and money for his North Atlantic Salmon Fund. Orri has probably done more than anyone to protect the Atlantic Salmon. But stocks seem perpetually under threat. In Scotland wild salmon runs on west coast rivers have been damaged by salmon farms. Then there are threats to renew salmon fishing at sea by the Greenlanders. It's a complex issue. I took this pic from Waterloo Bridge.
