The National Monument
So tonight I left work after a particularly hard day and looked up into the sky to see a very narrow crescent moon, the planet Jupiter shining brightly just to the left of it and the rest of the sky pin pricked with vivid light of stars in the sky. By the time I got home the sky was still looking clear and so I headed up to Calton Hill to take an image I have had in mind for months.
I'm really happy with how this turned up and it comes just fortuitously as this weekend will see the launch of my new photography workshop site which is going to include a Night Photography session - this is going to be a great image to show exactly what you can do with the right conditions and a bit of knowledge as to how to set up the camera and then process after. I'll send a link out either tomorrow or Saturday for anyone who is interested.
