Ruins

Chasing a blip, the camera turned right where it has never turned right before. The moment I rounded the corner behind it, I drew a quick breath to see the perfect, frosty, morning light on the ruins of an old warehouse that was once over the bay. It was the classic example of how blip leads us to things we otherwise would have missed completely.

On another note, I would have missed the Sound of Music on TV completely, if a friend on FB hadn't talked about how excited she was to see it with her kids. It was a sort of impromptu Sound of Music party at our house, as a friend brought her grandson over, and we all cozied up to watch together.

The Cottage will be hopping for the holidays; tomorrow is my birthday; I discovered a new, and beautiful, place to take morning photos; and I just had an impromptu Sound of Music party...I don't think I can take another moment of joy...I have to rest up to celebrate my birthday! And, for the first time ever, on my birthday, they are predicting snow tonight!

It just hit me...the one thing I always used to dream of was snow...and I might wake up to snow on my birthday!!! Be still my heart!! This might be too much for me...

Here's me, counting my blessings :-)

Late edit: No snow in the morning, so obviously adding snow to the, already exciting, list of events, really was over the top ;-) Still having a fabulous birthday so far!!
