Celebrate Life

For many years, I spent my birthdays far from family. I tried to 'get over it' and just accept that I lived far from mom, who always made sure birthdays were special. I tried to be grown up about it, and just let the day pass unnoticed, but I really just couldn't, as I discovered that the little girl who grew up being celebrated every year still lived inside my heart. She had a really good day today!
