Mannings Heath Village Sign

Mannings Heath is a village SE of Horsham and in the parish of Nuthurst. At the Millenium, all the villages and hamlets in the parish had a Village Sign put up to mark this event. All are similar and show different things. They are all in prominent places as this one in the centre of the village. With the light fading as I left work, this was a much easier place to reach rather than getting stuck in traffic trying to get out of Horsham to go somewhere on the other side nearer to home.
Village Signs originate I believe in the 1920's in Norfolk and can be seen in many parts of England. While there are now many in both East and West Sussex, the very finest ones are still to be found in the eastern counties of Essex, Suffolk, Norfolk and Lincolnshire.
