Tough day
So 77 went back to work today and I must admit that I found it very hard. Normally I regard myself as quite a calm and capable person but this morning was one of the most difficult I,ve ever known. I have never had to look after any baby on my own and it was a real challenge when baby S cried and I tried to figure out what he wanted. There was tears all round at times but luckily 77 came home at lunchtime to help out which was lovely. In the afternoon, I resorted to what I normally do when times are tough, and I went out for a big walk. Baby S was strapped into the baby Bjorn and I walked for a good 2 and a half hours to clear my head. Worked a charm, fresh air and exercise are always a winner with me fortunately and I felt fairly resolute after that. Quite hard towards the end of the day and normally I wouldn't clock watch if I was home before 77 but with a wee baby who becomes increasingly cranky at 5, every minute does seem to drag. I understand why women hoy their baby to their partners the minute they walk in the door!
