Riding The Crest Of A Wave
Well to my surprise when I boarded the cab today I totally forgot that my colleague stayed on and drove to Newcastle from Glasgow and then I took over to Leeds so that was nice but all trains back up the East Coast were running late for all sorts of reasons and I arrived back 25 late into Edinburgh but big Keith was there to take my train to the depot for me allowing me an early finish so that was a bonus as well we are a no bad bunch that tend to help each other out if spare drivers are around then we try to get the guys an early finish and I will do that tomorrow if I stay spare although I will slip out the station for a while if nothing is doing and wander the Christmas Markets for some odds and ends and maybe have some food a Big Bratwurst to chomp on may be really nice anyway as it's getting rather late now I will describe the shot I picked today although I did notice on my drive through the Grassmarket on my way to work I noticed fellow blipper Leasko with her camera blipping away today sorry I did not get a chance to stop Leasko anyway back to my blip after my usual ramblings and no punctuation but then that's my trademark lol anyway as I wasn't driving I managed to get this grainy shot of the waves off the coast at Spittal just south of Berwick-Upon-Tweed through the grubby windows of 1st class all the wind and wild weather had made the windows manky so this is the best I could get and I do hope all those affected by the weather are ok and It was a sad day indeed at the loss of such an Iconic man and so unassuming as well very humble in the passing of Nelson Mandela I remember watching the live news the day he was released all those years ago and the struggles he endured and I have totall respect for such a Great Man RIP Nelson Mandela.
Now then movie for the day is rather ironic as the last time Britain suffered such bad storm surges was back in 1953 when over 300 people lost there lives thankfully the sea defences saved a lot of potential areas after that terrible event these last couple of days but still lots of flooding and a few homes washed away though and now my movie was made in 1953 as well and is "The Cruel Sea 1953" See Ya
