rendezvous in the rain

finally!!! a first "face to face" meeting with a lovely blipper - mikeday - here in NYC for a brief visit

it is striking how easy and naturally our conversation flowed -- as if we knew each other for a long time - all from the intimacies of following these journals.

it was pouring rain so we couldn't wander around together as we had originally planned -- instead, we enjoyed a leisurely dinner -- and on the walk over to the restaurant, i snapped this photo quickly (before she had a chance to change her mind)
