Some days there are many moments that stand out but the photos accompanying those moments don't seem to capture the essentials. today we went to The Cloisters to hear Janet Cadiff's brilliant musical installation -- but my
pictures didn't really do it justice

Afterward, we stopped in briefly at a pottery studio sale and I was captivated watching the potters at work with such a sense of purpose.
