On the seventh day of Christmas

On the seventh day of Christmas we found seven swans a swimming.
I knew there were swans in Nairn on the river so after dropping David at work we made our way across to Nairn.
Luckily it was nt a wild goose chase as I spotted the Swans up near the Merryton Bridge. There were two adults and at least 8 cygnets.
They are looked after by the River Nairn and wildlife trust. The area is special because of the tide making environmental changes twice a day. The trust hopes to maintain the current number of swans and waterfowl numbers.120 + birds are present including migrants throughout the winter months. The trust provides the birds with natural food including wheat grain, carrots and brown bread which can cost up to £1500 a year.
Popped into a really lovely shop near the harbour and bought a few bits for Christmas.

Had haggis, neap's and tatties for lunch at Househill coffee shop. Seemed strange seeing so many places with the Househill name :)

It's my Mum and Dads 50th Wedding Anniversary today. Shame I cant be there to celebrate with a Chinese take away with them. Hope it tastes good !
