Acequia Madre near Angustura

The main feeder irrigation ditch for the Albuquerque area. I like the name in Spanish better, the mother ditch. The ditches are being allowed to dry up this time of year as the growing season is nearly over. The pup and I grabbed the camera and rushed out. Keeping up with blip this days is hard as I am obsessed with clay currently (crystalline glazes and agateware) and connecting with my old archaeology days - both what I learned and my friends from that era.

Today, I am thankful for the day I was given, some shocking yet expected and wonderful news, for Geoff, Anne, ?, Sally, Nate and Mara, my brother and his wife and the pup.
