What you are gazing upon is not theoretically brittle.... but I had pondered long and hard over brittle. My initial thought was peanut brittle.... which would incur a visit to the Sweet Shop, but my poor mind went into overdrive; I wanted Cinder toffee, and Bon Bons; it was generally better that I did not go, or brittle would be the last thing i would be.

My beloved made me luscious risotto tonight, and as I gazed upon it, I mentioned "where it my wee Parmesan thingy which you made me last week. Beloved is a firm fan of ALL cooking shows, and learnt a little trick from Nigel last week which involved making a crispy (and brittle) Parmesan chip to decorate the top.

He looked and me and smiled and obliged.... Risotto was put on hold until the Parmesan Crisps were completed.

Ta Da.

I am much loved.
