Growing old disgracefully

By GOD

TWISTED

The Prof and I did our normal Cardiac Arrest Walk today - 25 minutes steep climb out of the village at a brisk pace. This was the first time I'd been up a hill since last week's drama, so I am pleased to report that in spite of being breathless (he will engage me in conversation) I was as fit as a flea. Even in the pouring rain, the gnarled tree trunks never fail to please. Feel a bit gnarled myself.

Gnarled: adj knobbly, rough, and twisted, especially with age.
