Day Three: Universal Islands of Adventure

Another amazing day - the boys started the day riding the Hulk rollercoaster... yuck! Lots of loops, swoops, drops and hops - not a ride for me!

Kaylee managed to find a couple of rides that she enjoyed too... Spiderman, E.T. & Despicable Me, some of her favorites. Not a fan of all things theme park, it was difficult to watch as she opted to sit on the bench while BJ, Colby, Dad and I rode the more adventurous rides.

The Wizarding World of Harry Potter was a new addition to the park and did not disappoint. The rides were true to the books/movies, the "conveniences" (bathrooms) featured Moaning Myrtle herself, and the streets within this part of the park were vividly realistic with vendors selling butter beer, cobblestones under your feet and crooked chimneys atop the roofs. This was also the part of the park where we found Colby's limit to the extreme rides. He and BJ had hop-scotched from ride to ride, not allowing time to settle, eat and refuel. The final straw came on the "Dragons Challenge" ride, a thrill ride depicting the flight of a dragon in battle. I'll just say this - no physical sickness, but defiantly ruined the rest of the day for him.

We left soon after and spent the afternoon at the Condo relaxing, swimming and soaking in the hot tub.
