Day Four: Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party

We spent the morning at the pool... and BJ swam! That's not a big deal for most people, but for my husband - swimming isn't his favorite thing to do with water.

The kids asked a couple of times for him to join them, and he surprised me when he did. They played, floated along in the lazy river and had a great time playing with Dad in the water. So many memories made this week :)

After lunch, we all took mini-naps and readied ourselves for an evening at Disney Magic Kingdom for the Christmas Party. We had attended the Halloween Party a couple years back, and found that the night hours at Disney are much more magical. Less people, little wait times on popular rides, fireworks, parades and freebie snacks!

Loading into the van to head to the park, Mom had a craving for a coffee coolatta at Dunkin Donuts. That led to Colby wanting donut holes, me wanting an iced coffee and everyone else wanting this or that off the menu. A quick run through the drive through brought more laughs than we expected. A broken coolatta machine led to a longer than normal wait time, in such the employees were great, upgrading our order of 6 chocolate donut holes to a big bag bursting full (at least 3 dozen). I guess you'd have had to be there... we laughed all the way to the park. Chocolate and caffeine induced laughter, making memories all the way.

Our shirts were hand made the week before we left. Kaylee and I did the stripes, Mom made the stencils for Mickey and there is a picture of Maine on our left arm sleeves (not in the image).
