Christmas Display

Allow me a mini rant if you will.
Here I am just back from my summer holidays and I am confronted in the local garden centre ( and possibly in High Street stores as well) by a Christmas display of trees, decorations and cards. There are 3 months to go before Christmas 2009 - that is a quarter of a year. Given that it took about 3 months to forget and recover from Christmas 2008 then it leaves only 6 months of freedom from the angst of another Noel.I find it disturbing and worrying that commercialisation has hijacked what is after all a religious festival. I will try and ignore all the build up and leave things to the beginning of December which is soon enough.
That is the rant finshed and I'm now going to sort the holiday photos and catch up with the ironing.
