To Come out of Hiding

I have not enquired too closely as to the domestic arrangements between my timid friend here and the chap with the flashy tail feathers stomping here

However I guess that they are an item. He is frightened of ducks and nearly always loses his piece of bread to them. She however is much more subtle and nips in before the ducks know what is happening.

Quite rightly, the ducks choose not to have an dispute with my friend here despite her calm and unruffled appearance. she does not miss a trick.
