Red

I chased the sunset back from a visit to my Mum's earlier and arrived home in time to see it move through yellows, oranges to the most amazing reds. It lit up the river and commanded a stillness on the water, which was almost audible. We've had an incredible run of winter sunsets lately, the light must be just right at the moment.

The rest of the day was somewhat less magical, but nicely relaxing all the same. I'm still in the midst of this cold, so was pleased that I managed a bit of a lay in, and then stared some Christmas wrapping whilst watching Die Hard 3. After lunch I popped over to Mum's for a cup of tea, then embarked on a mammoth cleaning sessions , helped along by Home Alone. The flat is sparkling now, and I'm sitting in my PJs, under a blanket with a hot water bottle.
