Sun setting on the river

Mondays always seem to be busy, rushing around doing the chores and re-stocking the fridge after the weekend. I did meet some friends for a quick lunch to wish each other Happy Christmas before we all get involved in the festive season. It was lovely to see everyone again, although the pub food was passable but not the service or atmosphere. We won't be going there again!

A busy week trying to get things ready before the boys break up this week. I managed to get this photo as I was passing the river this afternoon on my way to fetch Thomas from school. As I was about to take the shot a duck came along and ruined the perfectly smooth water surface! We are now going to Thomas' end of term ski club party where they no doubt will consume copious amounts of crisps and rubbish and then not want supper when we get home again!
