Star Trails at Pepperbox Hill
Another clear first part of the night, with cloud moving in and a dull day forecast for Tuesday, so I went to get my Blip at midnight.
My longest (bar one) star-trail exposure to date, some 8 minutes. I shone a torch on the Pepperbox itself during the exposure as it is quite some way out of Salisbury and almost no light reaches it, itself. Light pollution from a 10 mile distant Southampton appears as a slight orangey glow.
This brick folly is within a National Trust site.
Tamron SP 17-50mm f2.8 was the lens.

Thanks for all your positive comments on my selective colour blip of yesterday, with the little girl and her yellow balloon, amongst the mayhem of Christmas shoppers. It was quite a departure from my usual. If you missed it, go back one and check it out - it's worth it! (I think)
