Ye everlasting doors....

Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Psalm 24

The Cross Kirk Peebles was founded in 1261. The reason was the discovery of an ancient stone cross with suspected relics from the 4th century St. Nicholas of Myra . So you might say this was Santa Claus' Church.

In 1473 there was a convent attached to the church by the Brothers of the Order of the Holy Trinity (Trinity Order of Friars).
