The sea, the sea ...
I wasn't thinking of Iris Murdoch, but the sea was such a powerful presence on our midday walk that I couldn't resist clambering down onto the shore to take this. It's been such a strange day - there was a little pale sun while we were out, but by 3pm it was already growing gloomy; the wind blew incessantly from the south, and the car thermometer told us it was 15ºC at 2pm.
I realise that it's hazardous taking sea photos - not just because one might just get wet, but because it's addictive trying to capture just the right moment, the best light, the curliest wave.
And of course you never do ...
