On the tenth day of Christmas

On the tenth day of Christmas 10 Lords leapt to mind ;)

1. Lord Mackenzie - Every week at Brownies we are watched over by the Lords and Ladies of the Clan Mackenzie. Pictured here is Colin Mackenzie (c.1597-1633), 1st Earl of Seaforth painted by Anthony Van Dyck. He became Second Lord Mackenzie of Kintail in 1611.

2. Lord of the Isles- 'The end of the Lordship came in 1493 when John Macdonald II forfeited his estates and titles to James IV of Scotland. Since then the eldest male of the reigning monarch of Britain has gained the title therefore making Charles , Prince of Wales the 'Lord of the Isles' today.

3. Lord Farquaad Horrible Lord from Shrek who wants to marry Princess Fiona so that he can become King !

4. Lord Charles- a ventriloquist dummy worked by Ray Alan.I always found him quite scary.

5.Lord of the Rings - Have watched the lengthy films a few times and still enjoy them. Looking forward to the second part of The Hobbit which comes out on Friday :)

6. Little Lord Fauntleroy -written by Frances Hodgson Burnett , adapted to film and television , a fascinating story I remember from my childhood.

7. Lord Lucan- whatever happened to him ?

8.Lord Lichfield - famous English photographer mainly known for his official photos of the royals including the wedding of Prince Charles and Lady Diana.

9. Screaming Lord Sutch- Founder of the Official Monster Raving Loony Party being there leader from 1983-1999. He holds the rocord for losing 40 elections :)

and Finally

10.Lord Voldemort - from the fabulous Harry Potter books and films !

Woke up to enjoy this
