Poor little robin redbreast...
...should have gone south for the winter. The temperature was hovering around 23 degrees this morning with a "feels like" temperature of 16 because of the wind. No snow though, only the occasional flakes. Right now the "feels like" temp is 13 degrees Fahrenheit. That's pretty cold! Many people are under the mistaken notion that robins all fly south for the winter. Seeing robins in the spring convinces them that winter is on the way out; however, many robins winter over right here in northeastern Ohio. This little one hopping around in the leaf litter was part of a flock I saw in the park this morning. It looks like they are in for a cold week. I will be bundling up in lots of layers.
