Tutu for Taylor

I feel like I did nothing today but I think that's because I was super tired most of the day.

I finally went into Centrelink this morning to show my supporting documents for my Youth Allowance claim. I went armed with a book (I'm slowly making my way through Sense and Sensibility) expecting to have to wait absolutely ages, and I did wait a while but I definitely got called up before a lot of people. Probably because I didn't have a very complicated issue - I heard one girl say she'd been waiting an hour and a half, so I think I dodged a bullet! Anyway, I should know by next Tuesday how it all goes.

The rest of the day was awesomely chilled because Stef came over with the entire season of Pan Am and we watched like six or seven episodes of it while Stef worked on her awesome tutu for the Taylor Swift concert. I don't know if anyone has seen/heard of Pan Am, but it's a short lived series about the stewardesses on Pan Am airlines in the early 1960s. It's awesome and beautiful and kind of cheesy and ridiculous and me and Stef are obsessed with it.

Here is Stef's tutu - there are fairy lights sewn into the inner layer of tulle and tinsel around the bottom. I'm kind of in love with it!
