Street Still-Life
One of the roving street vendors was taking a break while we enjoyed dinner at a restaurant on the pedestrian walk downtown (not the high-end Coconuts shown in the photo, but across the street at a much more affordable spot). I liked the differences in color in this scene and the simple arrangement of elements. Not everything in Mexico is chaotic, though we had just come from the madness that is the arrival of Virgen de Guadalupe Processions at the church. Such contrasts in this country - craziness on one corner, quietness on another. Tomorrow I will hopefully be able to capture some of the craziness during the final day of Guadalupe celebration.
