Bug Carnage

Our complex was fumigated last week (a once a month occurrence), but there were some that escaped the guy in the mask. They did not, however, escape our yard guy Hernan. He was up on the second floor this morning, cutting back the foliage that grows so readily here in the tropics. During his trimming, he must have discovered a couple of nests because when I returned from the beach this hive, and the associated dead bugs (black stuff in the background), was laying on the sidewalk. Of course, this necessitated a photo record. Other images I took show more of the bug carcasses, but I like this view of the cracked open hive structure the best. Glad to have one less fling insect to avoid as we sit on the patio in the morning.
