14 spot ladybird

Not the best of shots, but my colleague found this 14 spot ladybird Propylea quatuordecimpunctata in our little woodlice colony today. It was happily hidden away for the winter, and not best impressed when she accidently sprayed it with the plant spray - hence the water droplets on the elytra!
Sadly my shots of it are quite grainy as I had to use 800 ISO, even outside in the light! such a horrible grey and dingy day yet again.
No work tomorrow as we have an inset day for Christmas shopping, so I will see what treasures I can find for you, even if we are expecting mizzle and gloom!
