Books, Books, Books
This is my bookshelf, as you can see…very academic. No room for any “frivolous” books on this bookshelf! But much room for decorations and colours and lights.
Standard Wednesday, started with work, had a middle Shakespeare lecture, a nearly ending with more work…and then some actual fun! As I said yesterday, today is Chandru’s birthday, and he was running birthday circles with floorball. I was unsure whether to go, and then I met up with an old friend, David, who was a PhD student in my second year who talked some sense into me! He made a valid point. This year is my final year at this university, and I am nearly at the end of my first term…and with only exams in third term, second term is all I have left of my time at university…so shouldn’t be stressing about the little things when I’m not even at the stressful bit! So I went to circles. In a Snow White costume. The theme was ‘Movie Night’, so I thought Snow White would be apt! I didn’t realise that the turn of events would happen the way it did…but boy, it was brilliant! I ended up rescuing a butterfly from the bar and taking it outside. To then have it not leave me alone! Nothing like talking with the animals right?
The evening ended up being really good fun, all of my friends were there, and it gave me just the rest and respite that I needed before my deadlines. It is not all work at university, but I needed someone giving me that kick up the arse sound advice to make me realise this.
