Black Headed Gull - Winter Plumage

We drove to Aldeburgh today, in the rain, and had a picnic lunch at Slaughden Quay and this little chap was patient whilst I took several photographs of him, the only photographs I took today. A really miserable day, weatherwise, but we had a fantastic day driving through the countryside where there is still much evidence of the flooding of one week ago. We finished a super day with a delicious pub meal in The Wilford Bridge a country pub at the head of the River Deben just outside Woodbridge.
