After the Storm

Two nights ago the big storm came through. Because there was snow on the ground and a half-moon we could look out from the dark house (no electricity!) and see the trees bending incredibly as they whipped back and forth in the gusts.
I was amazed the next morning that they mostly seemed to be still standing, but it was hard to see since it's dark when we go to work and when we get back.
Today we were out for a walk in daylight and within 200 m of the house we found around 30 trees that had blown over. Walking further up the hill there were a lot more.  A lot of forestry work here for the farmer.
