Earlier this year my company submitted a challenge for the Manufacture of the Year award organised by the Lean Manufacturing Journal. Unfortunately we came 6th overall and only the top 5 were short listed. Still an achievment as we were going up against companies like BAE systems, who build the new fighter planes.
As a result we were asked by the Lean Manufacturing Journal to host a Lean event, where people come around the factory to see how we have implemented lean within our organisation.
Today was the day of the visit. I had been asked to take some photos for the flyer advertising the event. In addition I was also volunteered to take some photos of the event happening for our internal news letter but also the Lean Manufacturing Journal and their website.

Just as the day was starting my old boss turned up. He is now part of the Scottish Manufacturing Advisory Service and had come along to see the company and talks.
The day went very well with lots of good feedback from the people present.
This weeks challenge word is WORK. So this will be my entry for this week.
