SHEEP IN THE SOLLEVELD
It was a great idea to go and walk in the Solleveld. I was glad to encounter the sheep between the trees, no other walking animals to be seen. I will not call all the ones we did not see. One bird of prey in the sky, who dived behind a hill.
This time Piet Hein and I stepped over the fence near the path in the dunes and continued our walk along the beach. Kite surfers because of the strong wind were having fun. And it seemed that a lot of persons came to enjoy the beach this day.
When we were home again Mischa came and she and I went to feed the swans who were very eager to eat the oat flakes and so did the other creatures in the park too.
Later we watched the movie In good company, awfully lazy on the couch and chair.
Mischa is making a apple cake now, then we'll prepare a meal and eat it.
A pleasant winter day almost finished. I have to admit that the walk was perhaps just a bit too long or perhaps exactly the right length.
My haiku:
The trees were so bare
But the sheep were clothed warm
And well provided
And the proverb:
Nooit ambtje zoo klein, of het is beter dan geen.
Translation: Never a position so little, or it is better than none.
