BIRDS AROUND THE POND

are curious what one brings them. The swan pair loves the oat flakes but they insist to eat them almost in the water, otherwise it is too dry for their taste.
The ducks are less picky or the coots as well. Pigeons appear suddenly from all directions and don't care where or how they land.
The jackdaw kept to herself, perhaps she waits for the crumbs that will be left on the grass.
So much to observe nowadays. I walked towards Mischa's apartment and together we returned for tea, I admired the pictures she had taken of her stay at the weekend, a very relaxed atmosphere radiated from all.

My haiku:

Join us they all cried
But this little shy bird kept
To herself alone

And the quote by Logan Pearsall Smith in Afterthoughts:

What is more mortifying than to feel that you have missed the plum for want of courage to shake the tree?
