Oh Oscar....What Have You Done.
Can you believe Oscar was perfectly groomed on Thursday. He looked so handsome and so clean...now look at him. What a grubby little boy.
I woke up quite early today which was surprising as I had a very late night...well I got to bed gone 2.00 this morning. I was taxi driver for family out at Christmas parties etc. It seems like they had all had a nice time anyway.
I needed to be out early as I promised my friend Justine that I would go running with her. She has never run 3 miles continuously before and I said I'd do it with her. It's a slow run as she has had a double lung transplant. Up until now her furthest distance had been 1.5 miles...but she did the 3 today. Really quite emotional for her. She is one fantastic lady and I love her enthusiasm for life. She is writing a biography to inspire others who have to overcome problems. I think it will be a great read. Justine has a condition called LAMS disease. There are only 63 others who have ever been diagnosed with the condition in the UK. All of them are women apart from one man.
We had a coffee then parted company as I wanted to get back to go and collect some mistletoe.
The mistletoe was in a farmers field where I walk the dogs. It's was fairly well hidden and I've had my eye on it for quite a while. I did take the dogs and a flask of mulled wine as well. That went down really well. The dogs were quite naughty as they stole their treat bag out of my bag and scoffed the lot while I was busy with the mistletoe.
On the way back Maisie and Oscar just tore around the fields having such a lovely time. I love it when they tear about together like that....I don't love it when Oscar comes back covered in so much mud though.....hey ho bath time again!
