Native Myrtle
Aren't these tiny flowers pretty. They are late coming out this year - but now it's warming up they are opening, and will completely cover the bush with these delightful blooms.
Blooms always gives me the impression of a larger blowsier image. Tulips are blooms, roses are blooms, so why shouldn't grey myrtle be a bloom as well? Is anybody going to argue? Go on, I dare you.
So this is Backhousia myrtifolia, or grey myrtle - an Australian native, much beloved by bees. But I thought I'd everyone a rest from the B word, and there weren't any around anyway.
