Very tiny 'trees'

Attempt at closest close-up I could do with present equipment. The lichen are 1cm tall. Used focus stacking software to try to have front and back in focus, and used flash to cope with fact that this was well after sundown.

Not entirely successful, but learning. For instance, getting piece of twig with lichen on to stay at correct angle was a game in itself. And, anyway, I still don't know how to use the flash! Guess work!
